About Michael
"Yonkers has been my home for 30 years. As a Community advocate and a member of several neighborhood associations, I have joined group efforts to win battles such as gaining landmark status for an historic home and securing a zoning change that preserved the character of the neighborhood, controlled density and limited traffic through residential streets in District 3. Beyond the city limits, as Vice Chair of the LGBT Advisory Board to the Westchester County Executive and a member of the NAACP, I advocate for diverse segments of our District 3 population who deserve a more forceful voice in public life. I am also honored to serve as the Senior Warden and Acting Administrator Zion Episcopal Church."

Brian Crowley, Treasurer Zion Episcopal ChurchI am happy to personally endorse Michael Sabatino for City Council of Yonkers. Michael was the Senior Warden of our church while I was Treasurer. Michael showed great leadership during a critical period when we faced many extreme challenges. Michael tackled the challenges creatively and optimistically and volunteered hundreds of hours to leading the church during this period. In addition to his duties as Senior Warden, Michael also dedicated many hours to other important causes outside the church. Therefore, I know that Michael’s leadership abilities, commitment to justice and vision for the future will serve the people of District 3 of Yonkers well.
